JAR PAINTED WITH FLYING DRAGON
漢代龍騰罐

27 cm high, 25 cm wide
Description: Painted grey earthenware jars are typical from Han dynasty but this large one painted with a vivant flying dragon in red and white pigments is rare. Both the lid and the body remaining intact makes it extremely collectable. The lid was painted with a circle with a star. The dragon has always been a sign for the implorer, which is among the most popular decorations to the Chinese ceramics regardless their function's.
