What is "Discovery Day"?

Have you ever wondered about the history of the Buddha sitting on your consort table? What do the paintings mean on your blue-and-white porcelain vases in the corner? Is the white-glazed jar on your desk Chinese, Japanese or Korean? Bring any questions whatsoever you may have about your Asian art objects, and we will have answers for you!

One day a month, simply come bring your objects to us at W.SHANSHAN 珊然軒 and meet Dr. Shanshan Wang. Online appointments are also available upon request.

We can assist you with:

  • Understanding your objects

  • Providing advice on preservation

  • Conducting specialist research*

  • Offering advisory services for your collections*

*Some services may be chargeable.

Any questions, issues and doubts about your Asian art collections – we are here to help!

The first Discovery Day will be Sunday 26th February, 10:00 – 18:00. The next one in April will be announced soon.

We value your privacy. Please book an appointment and email us object photos in advance if possible.
